I used to live near a beautiful lily pond on Deer Isle, Maine. A big heron lives in the pond. Every year since 1971 I'd go to the pond and look at the lilies, the trees, and the heron. This summer (1995) I was visitng Deer Isle with my son Sequoia. We went out for a walk at night in the full moon. He was terrified but I made him walk the mile or so down the road to the lily pond. It was indescribably beautiful in the moonlight. He said "Can we go back now?" Every year I make at least five water lily paintings. The ones below are 40" x 40" in oil, and are very close to Monet. I painted them one freezing winter in my Maine studio and the brilliant colors kept me warm. These have all been exhibited and sold. But there are always more if you write to me.
