QUILTS
Since 1980 I've been making painted quilts composed of at least nine
separate paintings, often on paper, which I machine-stitch together to make
quilts. The first series was watercolor paintings on Arches paper. I then made
original oil paintings, usually 10" x 13" which I color copied on a Canon color
copier. I would then sew together nine, twelve, sixteen or twenty pictures and
make a quilt any size from 10 x 13 overall to 5 feet by 6 feet. I also made
oil paintings on canvas which I stitched together. The largest,
"American Landscape Quilt," was 6 feet by 7 feet, exhibited all over the
United States. Below are some of my small quilts. I will try to add more from
time to time.
